Facts

Built between 1430 and 1440 by Sir James Schaw. The Schaws were one of the most influential families in medieval Scotland and governors of Stirling Castle from 1460. They lived at Sauchie Tower until c. 1710 when they moved to their new mansion at Schawpark.
