Meet the Makars! In the Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum

12 noon We travel through time and push aside language barriers as we get to know some distinguished Scottish poets of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. In six sessions, Dr. John Coutts will introduce “The Gray Horse – Auld Dunbar”, also known as “The Nobill Poyet”, William Dunbar (c1460-1514), Robert Henryson (c1460-1505), Schoolmaster in Dunfermline; Blind Hary - the man who made Braveheart; Sir David Lindsay, satirist and statesman and King James VI and the Castalian Band.

No previous knowledge is necessary.

Tickets: £3 for each session or £15 for all 6 sessions
